Summary of Position 

Mercy Hill Church exists to make disciples and multiply churches. We believe much of this is contingent on the Holy Spirit working through the Acts 2 flywheel to gather, group, give, and go. The Community Groups Associate Director serves the Campus Pastor/Community Groups ministry of the church by acting as a central staff support in the areas of Community Group events, community group member care, database management, and Campus Pastor resourcing. This position serves to set up all communication, promotion, and logistical support for the Campus Pastors and Community Groups ministry church wide. 


Duties and Responsibilities: 


1. Community Group and Campus Events 

It will be your responsibility to work alongside the Senior Director of Campuses in the planning of all Community Groups events, which include: Monthly Elder Meetings, Quarterly All Leader Gatherings, and the Yearly Community Group Leader Retreat. You will also oversee the building of registration platforms, promotion plans as given by the Communications Team, prompt communication to event registrants, and logistics to ensure the events’ success. 


2. Maintain the Groups Database Systems 

You are responsible to keep the database systems up-to-date with information that accurately reflects groups’ data such as: individual rosters, leadership roles, location, and campus affiliation. 


3. Management of Calendar and Communication 

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining the yearly community groups calendar with the Senior Director of Campuses.  


4. Supply Campus Pastors with Weekly and Monthly Reports 

You will be responsible for pulling community group data from Planning Center and submitting it to each Campus Pastor on a weekly and monthly basis. Report requests may vary by Campus Pastor. 


5. Miscellaneous Responsibilities

Requirements

Job Requirements 

Physical Requirements: 

  1. Ability to frequently, stand, sit, and/or walk. 
  2. Ability to bend, climb stairs, and/or lift occasionally. 
  3. Ability to lift 1 to 50 pounds occasionally. 
  4. Ability to squat occasionally.   
  5. Ability to communicate continuously with other people.   
  6. Ability to operate computers continuously in order to complete necessary office work.  
  7. Ability to continuously comprehend physical and/or digital documents and continuously prepare physical and/or digital documents.  

Work Environment 

  1. May occasionally work in temperatures above 95 degrees and below 32 degrees. 
  2. May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces. 
  3. Noise level in the environment is occasionally loud. 
  4. May occasionally work outdoors. 
  5. May continuously work indoors within office spaces. 

Work Schedule 

  1. Office Hours: 5 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday) or as assigned by supervisor. The following days are required to be in office: Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The other hours may be fulfilled off-site. The Senior Director of Campuses will assess this arrangement quarterly.
