Summary of Position

Mercy Hill Church places extreme value on our worship gatherings. The gatherings are the start of our flywheel (Gather, Group, Give, Go). All steps of the flywheel are important but they start with the gathering. If the weekend isn't right then nothing else will be!  At Mercy Hill, every gathering should be filled with the Word of God, Celebration over what he has done and is doing, and Response to the gospel through big praise and big prayers. With that in view, the Students Experience AD will be responsible for creating and fostering an exciting and energy-filled environment where First Time Guests and currently engaged students can easily connect with the ministry. This AD needs to strike the balance between relational and administrative leadership and have the ability to both connect individually with students and leaders and connect students to leaders.


Duties and Responsibilities 

1.  Volunteer Development and Communication

      a.  Recruit, Onboard, and Care for the Student Experience Teams

      b.  Develop leaders through a clear leadership pipeline

      c.  Equip the team to lead within MH/MHS DNA 

      d.  Inform the teams of scheduling and plans in a timely and clear manner 

      e.  Personally model a lifestyle of passion and desire to make students feel welcome, wanted, loved, and connected; and    empower volunteers and students to do the same

      f.  Includes oversight of check in, set up, hospitality, and security teams and team leads


2.  Student Experience Teams Oversight

      a.  Prepare well and in a timely manner

      b.  Execute the S.E.T. and Security strategies with maturity, passion, and thoughtfulness

      c.  Develop an age-specific, energetic, safe, and welcoming environment

      d.  Understand the Planning Center systems and how to collect and input student information according to the S.E.T.  strategies.

      e.  Includes oversight of check in, set up, hospitality, and security teams and team leads


3.  Project Management and Administrative Assistance

      a.  Learn Basecamp and PCO systems

      b.  Assist Students staff and team in the development and execution of project management systems 


4.  Shepherding Assistance

      a.  Understand the care process for both MH Students and MH Church as a whole

      b.  Assist the team in high level shepherding scenarios as needed

Requirements

Physical Requirements: 

Essential job function: Duties [1] through [4] are designated as ADA essential functions and must be performed in this job. All other job duties are secondary functions.

1.  Ability to continuously stand, sit, and/or walk.

2.  Ability to bend, climb stairs, and/or lift occasionally.

3.  Ability to lift 5 to 30 pounds occasionally. 

4.  Ability to squat occasionally.

5.  Ability to communicate continuously with other people.

6.  Ability to operate computers continuously in order to complete necessary office work.  

7.  Ability to frequently comprehend physical and/or digital documents and frequently prepare physical and/or digital documents. 


Work Environment

1.  May occasionally work in temperatures above 95 degrees and below 32 degrees.

2.  May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces.

3.  Noise level in the environment is frequently loud.

4.  May occasionally work outdoors.

5.  May continuously work indoors within closed office spaces.


Office Hours and Work Schedule

1.  Office Hours: Sunday for weekend gatherings and MHS. Tuesday & Wednesday in office 9-3, or as needed to fulfill work responsibilities. Average weekly hours will be 15-20.


Organizational Relationship

·  Primary Supervisor – Students Pastor/Director

·  Secondary Supervisor – Executive Pastor of Discipleship 

·  Works closely with: Middle/High School Associate Directors
