The Business Configuration Analyst works with the product, business analysis, training, configuration, and support aspects of our Behavioral Health Electronic Health Record software. The incumbent should possess strong technical, interpersonal, and troubleshooting skills. This role will perform duties as required based on business demands. At least 50% of the duties will be in the Medical Billing side of our software business.


This is a remote position, however, applicants must reside in one of the following states: FL, GA, ID, IN, KS, LA, MD, MI, MN, NC, OH, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, WY

Essential Functions / Tasks / Duties / Responsibilities: 

  • Successfully implement new and existing customers on our software solutions.  Duties include learning about the customer's business, training them on the use of our software, and configuring the software to meet their needs.
  • Collaborate with team members to successfully onboard new customers on NextStep Billing software.
  • Provide support to customers throughout their use of NextStep Billing.
  • Improve our internal processes to build an efficient business.
  • Support and play an active role in all segments of product development workflow by actively participating in Project Kick-Off, Sprint Planning, Scrum, Acceptance Review, Sprint Retrospectives.
  • Communicates with stakeholders to identify, analyze, and translate business needs into specifications for development.  Perform Quality Assurance testing on software changes.  Document changes in release notes.
  • Update Help Center to be current with new features and changes to the software.
  • Develop and maintain a customer-focused perspective through effective and timely communication and collaboration with business stakeholders and the product and software development teams.

Requirements

Competencies:

  • Customer-focused engagement and service skills.
  • Knowledge of project management and training principles and methodologies.
  • Medical industry product implementation/project management/training experience.
  • Detail-oriented individual with a “can do” attitude and ability to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with others

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and innovative environment

Education / Professional Certifications or Licenses Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA), Certificate of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) or other certification with a focus on business analysis is preferred

Experience Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in the healthcare industry (Electronic Medical Record, Practice Management, Medical Billing). Behavioral Health EHR experience is a plus.
  • 5+ of experience in a customer facing role.
  • 3+ years of work experience in a Business Analyst role preferred.

Work Environment / Physical demands/ Travel Requirements:

  • Remote office environment
  • Some travel required (less than 10 percent)
  • Tasks are primarily performed on the computer and telephone or through discussion face-to-face
