Overview:

Sr Director, Territory Careers supports key strategic territory imperatives. The role leads and manages the talent acquisition process and selection of region talent for all roles (Dentist, Specialist, Registered Dental Hygienist, Operations Managers, and Healthcare Coordinators) part of the PDS platform, ensuring direct reports ability to recruit and select competitive talent to support PDS Health. The Sr Director, Territory Careers serves as a consultant/subject matter expert (SME) with leadership in the development of effective recruiting strategies, establishing talent pipelines for current/future job opportunities, leading all sourcing strategies and partnering with University Relations and colleges to support all PDS Health platform technology applications. The role will champion the PDS Health platform within the territory and ensure platform execution and compliance.

 

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution and achievement of territory imperatives; drives territory recruitment strategy.

  • Implement programs effectively aligning territory business needs with the PDS Health behavioral framework; collaborate and communicate areas of compensation, benefits, and wellness.

  • Implement recruiting and retention strategies that results in year-over-year growth.

  • Manage the talent acquisition process for assigned territory to include entry level to senior leadership positions; support 5 to 8 regions.

  • Provide leadership to Regional Recruiter, and Sr Regional Recruiter.

  • Advise management and support the development of regional and office-level recruiting budgets; data-driven recruiting analytics and office-level key performance indicators; review monthly/annual spending.

  • Utilize operational analysis, trends, benchmarking and research to support leadership’s effective projections for staffing/personnel needs.

  • Collaborate with People Services to develop and execute strategies to ensure efficient and consistent implementation of compensation practices.

  • Consult with hiring managers to understand department business requirements and functions to establish or enhance a pipeline of candidates.

  • Identify and implement sourcing strategies based on the role by conducting research and utilizing a multitude of resources.

  • Generate a pool of resumes/candidates, profile/pre-quality, interview and follow-up with hiring manager on potential candidates meeting the job requirements and preferences.

  • Act as a liaison between field operations and talent acquisition/support and People Services.

  • Partner with department heads to implement new procedures and best practices at the field level with concurrent accountability.

  • Participate in territory career events, conferences and community job fairs on behalf of PDS Health.

  • Collaborate with and travel to support centers to identify challenges and opportunities, engage in strategic discovery; drive implementation efforts through shared responsibility and aligned execution.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, Organizational Development or related field from an accredited college or university. In lieu of degree, 5+ years of work experience.

  • 12+ years of experience in related field.

  • 5+ years of experience managing a team.

  • Travel to Support Centers, and quarterly to each supported region.

Preferred

  • Experience in a DSO, multi-unit retail, or regional healthcare.

  • Ability to work under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives, self-initiate assignments, and virtually self-supervise.
