Overview:The Sr Director, Territory Specialty supports top territory goals through a strategic approach to specialty business lines and related activities. They ensure operational standards and initiatives are effectively implemented for consistent specialty results. This role sets the tone for recruitment, onboarding, and retention of specialty providers and teams, ensuring strong bench strength across regions. They champion integrated specialties, the comprehensive care model and the SDSO platform, influencing leaders to drive profitable growth and increased access to specialty care. They inherently focus on sustainable growth, provider and team excellence, and patient experience. Consistent execution of specialty initiatives, standards, and talent development efforts are expected. This role is a key contributor within a fast-moving regional management team and the broader Specialty Operations team, acting as a liaison with National Support.
Responsibilities
Oversee the establishment and execution of specialty Territory Imperatives for assigned region.
Provide support to regional specialty support teams for 3 regions and 120+ offices within territory; direct/indirect mentorship and influence with Territory stakeholders: Regional Clinical Partners, Territory Clinical Partners, and Specialty DSO Partners.
Coordinate and facilitate regional specialty dentist recruiting and onboarding process, contract process, and partner with University Relations to participate in events.
Develop and maintain strategic working relationships with key executives and specialty leaders; collaborate on PDS Health initiatives and strategies company wide.
Ensure proper staffing and training for Specialty Dental Assistants to support specialty days for assigned primary region, staffing changes during re-orgs and specialty support teams within the territory.
Grow regions supported offices access to specialty care; onboard specialty dentist and facilitate the implementation of PDS specialty platforms standard procedures and best practices in primary region.
Support Regional Managers and Owner Dentists in identifying opportunities to grow their specialty practices sustainably and profitably year-over-year and achieving specialty goals within primary region.
Subject Matter Expert for Regional Managers and Owner Dentists in region for specialty standards and best practices of PDS Health specialty platform; support implementation of standards/best practices.
Identify key strategic business development areas for specialties and aide Regional Partner in CPC preparation for specialty individual office annual goal setting and provide feedback for region in territory.
Provide leadership to Specialty Regional Manager and Director; leader accountability to PDS vision.
Participate in meetings, and territory specific events and conferences; represent PDS Brand with executive level ownership and thinking, and sound judgment.
Partner with Territory Partners and Regional Partners on overall specialty strategy and opportunities for growth across the territory and within each region; travel to multiple offices and multiple regions.
Create team engagement that consistently produces a Perfect Patient Experience (PPE).
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited college or university. In lieu of degree, 5+ years of professional experience.
12+ years of experience in related field.
5+ years of experience managing a team.
Travel to multiple regions throughout the year, and multiple offices per day.
Proven record of success as a PDS Specialty Regional Director.
Preferred
Experience in a DSO, multi-unit retail, or regional healthcare.
