Your Role
The Digital Content Publishing team is accountable for the content tools roadmap (Adobe Experience Manager), content publishing, optimizing organic search and site search results, and growing the engagement content strategy using Adobe Target. The Content Manager, Senior will report to the Sr. Manager of the Digital Content Publishing Team. In this role you will work collaboratively with content development partners such as UX, creative services, brand and IT to connect all aspects of content development with the goal of upholding quality & compliance.
Responsibilities
Your Work
In this role, you will:
Advocate for usability of Blue Shield’s websites from the content perspective, including site architecture, usability, findability, labeling, editorial voice, brand and user-centered content strategy, & SEO best practices
Work closely with content strategists, interaction designers, visual designers, and business stakeholders to create and manage compelling, usable web sites, sections and pages
Have a strong understanding of best-practice web usability, findability, and site management, and have experience applying SEO principles for content findability
Construct and edit compelling UI and substantive web copy to help users understand and complete tasks and convey complex health insurance product and service information in a way that is easy to understand and act upon
Demonstrate fluency in content management systems (CMS), with skills in CMS operation and management of content on large, complex websites
Qualifications
Your Knowledge and Experience
Requires a college degree or equivalent experience
Requires at least 5 years of prior relevant experience, including at least 3 years in web content publishing
Requires strong knowledge of marketing principles and practices including product promotion, placement and pricing techniques
Requires detailed knowledge of health plans and insurance products, services and their financial drivers
Requires experience with SEO and web writing
Requires experience with Adobe Experience Manager content authoring
Experience with Adobe Target preferred, but not required
Ability to independently develop, implement and evaluate creative marketing plans
Software skills: Adobe Experience Manager, Workfront, and Jira
Knowledge of and ability to participate with UX/UI and UX Content Design Teams

Two Ways of Working:
- Hybrid (Default): Work from a business unit-approved office at least two (2) times per month (for roles below Director-level) or once per week (for Director-level roles and above). Exceptions:
o Member-facing and approved out-of-state roles remain remote.
o Employees living more than 50 miles from their assigned offices are expected to work with their managers on a plan for periodic office visits.

- On-Site: Work from a business unit-approved office an average of four (4) or more days a week.
