In order to participate in Berklee Student Employment, a student must fulfill the following requirements:
Current student at Berklee College of Music or Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
Enrolled at least half-time in a degree, diploma, or certificate-seeking undergraduate or graduate program. Summer is the only semester in which a student can maintain employment without being enrolled. In this case, the student must be pre-registered for the upcoming fall semester. This exception does not apply to fall or spring semesters.
Have a valid United States Social Security Number (SSN).
Remain in “valid” Visa status as applicable.
A minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA. Students in their first semester can work, even though they do not have an official GPA until the completion of their first semester.
Federal Work Study student may apply.
In good disciplinary standing.
Must be located in the U.S.

The Classroom Technology Support (CTS) Assistant provides Berklee community members who are utilizing Berklee classrooms, conference rooms, and digital signage TVs.CTS Assistants will work both independently and closely with staff members (Multimedia Support Consultants) to provide in person classroom support, preventative maintenance, and training for all general classroom and conference rooms at Berklee.
Responsibilities:
- Provide as much technical support over the phone when user calls for audio visual issues.
- Be deployed to classrooms and conference rooms whenever an issue is escalated to in-person support.
- Escalate support requests to higher level student employees and full-time staff as needed.
- Maintain contact, and update users when issues are reported and resolved.
- Create, manage, and resolve support tickets in the Tickets Database. Troubleshoot classroom and conference room hardware for students, staff and faculty: Projectors, Speakers,
- Classroom Mac Mini, Computer Peripherals, Blu-ray Player, Cables, etc. Complete and log daily classroom AV checks, making repairs, reporting facilities issues to Physical Plant.
- Assist staff members with periodic repairs, and installations of new AV equipment.
- Attend monthly CTS team-wide Zoom meetings in the weekend.
Requirements:
- Have a working smartphone and a laptop on shift at all times.
- Download required apps on smartphone and laptop.
- Be part of CTS for at least two semester.
- One opening shift (7AM or 8AM) is mandatory.
- 15 hours minimum; 20 hours maximum.
- Punctuality and time management, and communicativeness.
Skill Requirements:
- High customer service standards over the phone and email.
- Adaptability to work quickly under pressure and find a solution to keep classes on track.
- Promote a positive and professional work environment
- Ability to interact and work well as a team member and work independently at times
- Excellent organizational skills
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of macOS and hardware
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of audio interfaces, MIDI keyboards, and other music peripherals
- Demonstrate basic knowledge of audio software, with an emphasis on the Core Software Package
- Have a strong understanding of signal flow.
- Love of learning new skills and helping others
