Summary of Position
Midwest Hose & Specialty is seeking a results-driven Pricing & Data Manager with strong expertise in pricing analysis and data management. This role is critical to driving profitability, optimizing product pricing, and ensuring data accuracy across the organization. While initially focused on individual contribution, this position is designed to grow into a team leadership role as the department expands.
Ideal candidates will bring a proven background in pricing strategy (Priority 1), with preference for experience in the hose & fittings or industrial distribution industry (Priority 2). Managerial and leadership experience (Priority 3) is strongly valued, as this role will eventually oversee a pricing and data team.
This is a remote position with occasional travel to our Oklahoma City, OK headquarters for collaboration and training.
Key Responsibilities
- Pricing Strategy & Management
- Develop and implement pricing strategies to maximize margins while maintaining competitiveness
- Monitor and adjust price lists, discounts, and customer-specific pricing to align with market conditions
- Analyze pricing performance and deliver actionable insights to leadership
- Data Administration & Reporting
- Manage and maintain core product, customer, and sales data within our ERP system
- Conduct data audits to ensure integrity, accuracy, and compliance
- Generate reporting and dashboards to support decision-making across sales, finance, and operations
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with sales, procurement, finance, and operations to align pricing strategies with business goals
- Provide training and guidance to colleagues on pricing tools, data processes, and system functionality
- Lead or participate in projects involving data migration, system enhancements, and process improvements
- Leadership Growth
- Act as a key contributor now, with a clear track toward building and managing a pricing and data team
- Mentor and develop future analysts as the department grows
- Establish and document best practices for pricing governance, reporting, and analytics
Qualifications & Requirements
- Pricing Expertise: 5+ years of experience as a Pricing Analyst, Pricing Manager, or similar role, with a proven ability to design and execute pricing strategies.
- Analytical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency required; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL) a plus.
- ERP Experience: Strong working knowledge of ERP systems (distribution/manufacturing ERP preferred). Experience with Trulinx ERP is ideal.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with hose & fittings, industrial distribution, or related B2B environments strongly preferred.
- Leadership Potential: Prior management experience or demonstrated leadership ability; interest in growing into a team lead role.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Analytics, or related field preferred.
Important Notes:
• Location: Remote position (United States-based). Candidates must be willing to travel to our Oklahoma City, OK headquarters on a periodic basis (e.g., quarterly or as needed) for team meetings, training, and collaboration.

• This role may involve occasional extended hours or adjusting work times to coordinate with team members in different time zones when necessary.
