The Role:
As part of the Providence Philanthropy South Division shared services team, under the guidance of the Executive Director of Donor and Community Engagement, the Senior Director of Events and Strategic Engagement will lead the South Division's strategic initiatives, including:
- South Division Philanthropy Events: Spearhead the design and execution of events that drive donor engagement and community impact.
- Physician Engagement Initiatives: Elevate physician involvement through strategic education and initiatives like the annual Physician Champion Awards.
- Endowed Chairs Programs: Oversee the development of endowed chairs and chaplaincies, strengthening our mission and values.
What You’ll Do:
- Event Production: Manage event production across California, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Team Leadership: Lead a team across Northern California, Los Angeles, Orange County, and High Desert markets, guiding them to deliver exceptional events.
- Strategic Collaboration: Partner with ministry, divisional, and system leadership to advance events and donor engagement.
- Process Improvement: Drive continuous process improvements to enhance donor relationships and inspire support.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure adherence to brand and voice standards across South Division ministries.
What You’ll Bring:
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field; Master's preferred.
- Experience: 10+ years in professional special event planning, preferably non-profit; 8+ years in leadership within large institutions.
- Skills: Strategic acumen, project management, team leadership, excellent communication, and organizational skills.
- Technical Expertise: Proficient in non-profit software and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Raiser’s Edge and similar platforms is advantageous.
- Flexibility: Ability to manage multiple priorities, including travel and extended hours, as needed.
