M-D is looking for a detail-oriented Associate Project Manager to join our Consumer Business Unit team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing multiple complex projects from initiation through completion, building and maintaining key stakeholder relationships, and providing coaching to service areas. You will collaborate closely with area leaders to identify new project opportunities while working with our team to optimize resources, improve operational efficiency, and ensure all projects are completed on schedule and meet established objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage small to medium-complexity projects through complete project life cycle activities, utilizing appropriate methodologies and tools, and planning and communication, while acquiring, developing, and supporting the project team.
  • Assist drafting project charters by collecting project requirements, assumptions, and constraints.
  • Support stakeholder identification and help maintain the stakeholder register.
  • Contribute to defining project objectives, success criteria, and high-level deliverables.
  • Collaborate in developing the project management plan and subsidiary plans (scope, schedule, cost, communications, quality, risk).
  • Support the development of the schedule using tools such as Wrike or M-D templates.
  • Help define quality metrics and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in identifying project risks and updating the risk register.
  • Assist in preparing the communication plan for status reports, dashboards, and stakeholder updates.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs), escalating variances to the Project Manager
  • Update the risk and issue logs, track mitigation actions, and communicate potential impacts.
  • Support project documentation and ensure compliance with organization process assets (OPA).
  • Help prepare project closure reports and lessons learned documentation.
  • Archive project documents according to organizational standards.
  • Support knowledge transfer sessions to ensure smooth handover to operations or business owners.
  • Help with general tasks and other duties as assigned.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of and supports mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.
  • Work effectively in a team environment, participating in and contributing to the organization's success.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Business Administration, Manufacturing, Business Management, or a similar business-oriented field.
  • 2+ years of project management experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively allocate resources.
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Advanced ability to speak with leadership and develop leadership-ready presentations
  • Good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
  • Ability to perform complex tasks and to prioritize multiple projects.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability by effectively adjusting to shifting priorities, project requirements, and organizational changes.
