Essential Functions & Job Responsibilities: 

  • Assists with employment, personnel records, employee relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, payroll, organizational development and training.
  • Facilitate activities related to recruitment, including job posting, candidate sourcing, coordinating interviews, requests for background checks, drug screens and/or results and attend recruitment/job fairs as needed.
  • Conducts new hire and onboarding processes, including preparation and presentation of an offer letter, review of company policies and benefit plans and collection and processing of new hire paperwork.
  • Responds to general inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, timecards, etc. from employees and leadership at various levels of the organization.
  • Assures compliance with applicable Federal, State, and local laws as well as regulations from other applicable agencies.
  • Performs general clerical duties to include filing, copying, maintaining, tracking, mailing and ordering Human Resources materials, etc.
  • Performs other related duties as required and provide assistance to others as needed.
  • Maintains visibility on the warehouse floor to foster positive relationships with non-supervisory staff.
  • Assists with invoicing and consignments.
  • Acts as the first point of contact by answering the phones and greeting visitors.  
  • Responsible for ordering supplies, filing and general administrative tasks/

     Job Competencies:  

    • General understanding of FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEOC, COBRA and other state and federal regulations
    • Exceptional customer service skills
    • Excellent computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS systems and Canva
    • Accurate and detail oriented
    • Able to maintain confidentiality and objectivity
    • Interpersonal skills with a courteous and professional demeanor
    • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team to support overall business objectives.
