Located minutes from downtown Minneapolis, MN, The Minikahda Club is much more than a collection of amenities. Founded in 1898, The Minikahda Club is the oldest country club west of the Mississippi and a premier club in the region. The Club experience is focused on providing superior social and recreational experiences based on the values of family, fellowship, integrity, respect, and inclusiveness.
Job Summary:
Provide professional, courteous and compassionate services for members, visitors, and guests while meeting the standards outlined in the employee handbook. Assist the Safety and Security director in overseeing and coordinating all activities related to the Valet operation. Proactively approach, greet and acknowledge all members, guests, and visitors in a professional manner and provide quick, responsive customer service. Responsible for all other duties assigned.
Essential Duties/Functions:
- Ensure each member, guest, or visitor receives outstanding service by providing a friendly and professional environment, to include a proper salutation and valediction.
- Monitor and maintain the front roundabout to ensure it is congestion-free through traffic control, monitoring illegal parking, and immediately storing vehicles.
- Organize “next car parked” and store keys accordingly.
- Predict and communicate traffic flow peaks and lot issues.
- Operate, park and retrieve all vehicles in a safe manner by obeying all traffic laws, Club policies, and applicable pedestrian regulations.
- Assist with car doors, wheelchairs/strollers and belongings.
- Maintain a clean Valet booth and front entryway.
- Maintain clear and concise communication with the concierge to ensure smooth operations and efficient service.
- Handle member complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner, without debate, escalating any issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Additional responsibilities will include shuttle service.
- Other duties as needed by the business.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Must maintain confidentiality of members, visitors, and guests.
- Able to act independently and make accurate decisions with exceptional focus on attention to detail.
- Ability to control flows of traffic.
- High degree of attention required preventing injury to others and damage to property when operating vehicles to and from location.
- Ability to demonstrate exceptional service and interpersonal skills that are interpreted as positive and customer service oriented.
- Understand and respond appropriately to basic customer and employee inquiries
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- Ability to operate vehicles in designated areas.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems effectively and efficiently.
- Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods of time and ability to retrieve vehicles in a timely manner.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to anticipate and exceed member expectations.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors with weather and temperature changes to include exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid or windy conditions for long periods of time.
- Professional appearance and conduct, with a positive and friendly attitude.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull objects up to 50 pounds with reasonable accommodation, and exhibit full range of motion including standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, twisting, lifting, pushing, pulling, balancing and crouching.
License and Special Requirements:
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

- $17-$18 depending on experience.
