Job Description
Women’s Services & Resources Office Manager (Part-time, 28hrs/week)
Join the Women’s Services & Resources team in serving students on campus. As Office Manager, you will provide secretarial support for the office as well as for the director and assistant director, in addition to serving as primary receptionist for WSR, occasional receptionist for SASS, and helping to supervise and assist the student employees. This role is perfect for someone who is organized, approachable, confidential, and dependable.
What You’ll Do In This Position
- Serve as the main office receptionist and provide administrative support for the WSR office
- Provide secretary/receptionist work for Sexual Assault Survivor Services (SASS) office when needed
- Train, supervise, and support student employees in the WSR office
- Connect office patrons with appropriate resources and referrals
- Manage the office budget, financial records, and reports
- Prepare expense reports and travel authorizations
- Reconcile the office’s purchases and receipts
- Complete office and departmental purchases as needed
- Assist in hiring student employees and doing contract paperwork
- Coordinate the office schedule each semester to ensure coverage
- Assist in event evaluations and semester reports
- Conduct staff meetings as needed
- Assist in the planning and carrying out of WSR events
What Qualifies You For This Role
Required:
- Some secretarial and receptionist experience
- An associate’s degree or higher
Preferred Qualifications:
- Superior receptionist and secretary skills, including computer use with Windows based programs, proper telephone etiquette, filing, and professional writing (including correspondence, minutes, etc.)
- Ability to work effectively with student employees and other departments
- Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a team
- Knowledge of the mission and policies of WSR and Brigham Young University
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and be flexible
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize, adapt, and work well under pressure
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills within the scope of assigned authority as appropriate
- Maintain high level of confidentiality
- Excellent business and technical writing/editing skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Schedule:
- Start ASAP
- ¾ time employee, 28 hrs/week
- In office, 5 days a week, between 8am-5pm with occasional work outside of these hours

Pay Grade: 48
Typical Starting Pay: $20.00-$25.75
