To be the CME partner of the Client Coverage and the Product Specialist teams with the aim of driving business growth and efficiently delivering an excellent experience for customers.  The position offers the successful candidate an opportunity to develop his or her credit risk and financial analysis skills, client relationship management skills, and to play a key role in driving superior client outcomes and delivering world class client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to CME Goals;
  • Support portfolio maintenance activities including portfolio administration, monitoring of facility documentation and ensuring the integrity and accuracy of system data;
  • Undertaking financial and credit risk analysis for the preparation of new credit submissions and annual reviews of existing transactions;
  • Continuously seek to optimise the return on capital deployed and resources invested by the business
  • Workflow management between Client Coverage, CME, Product Specialists, Credit and client support teams to achieve a seamless client experience;
  • Attend client meetings where appropriate to support business outcomes and conduct research to develop sector expertise and awareness of market trends; and
  • Maintain an ongoing awareness of NAB’s credit policy, credit and market risk and internal risk appetite.

  • The quality and timeliness of portfolio administration and maintenance activity.
  • High quality contribution to transaction execution and credit submissions
  • Successful and timely resolution of client queries.
  • Showing initiative and contributing to further process improvement with the aim of streamlining day to day operations.
  • Meeting stakeholder deadline requirements with high quality time management, organisational skills and work output.

KPI’s

  • Revenue collection and capital optimisation
  • Engagement and relationship with Credit, Client Coverage and Product Specialists, as measured by feedback from those groups
  • Credit writing skills and understanding, as measured by ability to have completed at least 80% of the submission without assistance

The Person

Experience:

  • Prior experience in banking including experience with credit and compliance processes;
  • Moderate to advanced Excel skills; and
  • Experience working with and contributing to a team environment.

Qualification:

  • Undergraduate qualification in law, finance, business or accounting desirable.

  • To assist in the production of financial models for transactions; and
  • Moderate to advanced skills in utilising Excel for modelling and Word and PowerPoint for the creation of submissions and presentations.
