Boeing Canada Operations LtdBoeing Canada Winnipeg is seeking System and Network Technologist, reporting to the Senior Information Technology Manager, working out of the Winnipeg, MB office. The System and Network Technologist will be responsible for workstation and manufacturing device management, as well as network infrastructure maintenance tasks.
The successful candidate will work with the team to enhance the security and stability of the environment, as well as improve methods of infrastructure delivery in a manufacturing setting. They must be able to participate in or lead projects to completion with small teams to successful outcomes. Technical leadership and familiarity will be key for this role.
The successful candidate will be expected to be part of a 24x7 on-call team and provide extended hours support. They will work closely with other teams across the business to improve the efficiency of the infrastructure and ensure Information Technology solutions meet corporate requirements and schedules.
Position Responsibilities:
Evaluates and communicates technical information and solutions with customers, suppliers and teammates at all levels of the organization in a professional manner
Uses standard applicable computing disciplines including change configuration, problem solving, performance, and operational management on a range of technical systems and application activities
Analyzes, manages and maintains Ethernet network topology, network devices, Windows operating systems, subsystems, and components
Evaluates complex system's production readiness and supportability
Provides corporate Cisco networking experience including Cisco switching/routing, and the building of resilient TCP/IP networks
Conform to, create and maintain secure networking models and patterns.
General familiarity with ICS/OT devices, networking protocols, and applications common in a manufacturing environment
Ensures Information Technology infrastructure conforms to standard architectural objectives as well as meets security objectives
Works directly with other functional areas to ensure Information Technology infrastructure solutions meet the enterprise requirements and schedules
Administers user system access and establishes safeguards to protect information to meet security requirements
Assist in remediating software and firmware vulnerabilities in a hybrid office and manufacturing environment
Performs the restoration of routine to complex computing service operations
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
2+ years of experience in a corporate environment with Cisco IOS
1+ years installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and administering Cisco hardware in a corporate environment (Catalyst switches, ASR routers, wireless controllers, access points)
2+ years of experience with Network cabling (copper and fiber)
1+ years of experience with creating, using and maintaining PowerShell scripts
1+ years of experience maintaining Windows gold images for use in an office and industrial environment
Ability to support an IT/OT team, with a focus on security and business continuity
Ability to be part of 24x7 on-call team and provide extended hours support
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
Experience with Juniper JUNOS
Preference will be given to Cisco certifications (CCNA) and/or Cybersecurity-themed certifications such as CISSP or Security+
Experience with ICS/OT asset management applications
Experience with ICS/OT network protocols, such as Modbus, PROFINET, CIP, BACnet, Ethernet/IP
Experience with virtualization – VMware Workstation or ESXi
Experience with Wireshark or similar packet-sniffing software
Experience with Juniper Security Director
Have a cybersecurity-focused and troubleshooting mindset
