Who You’ll Work With:
The Client Group is one of AB’s largest strategic business units, with functions that range considerably throughout the firm. The program will ultimately expose the intern to the lifecycle of an investment product, from the initial generation of the idea to researching interest in the marketplace to crafting our message and finally, distributing our products and servicing our Institutional and Retail clients.
The Institutional Client Service summer intern will partner with Institutional Advisors and Client Service professionals to deliver outcomes on behalf of the firm’s largest clients and prospects. To be successful across all aspects of the role, the intern must be well organized, have strong attention to detail, and build relationships with a range of stakeholders both internal and external. Successful interns that receive a return offer will have the ability to rotate through a variety of sales and business ops teams.
What You’ll Do:
The Client Group Summer Internship Program provides students with opportunities to learn about business development, client service, sales and specific strategies we offer to clients, as well as the opportunity to develop their communication, networking and problem-solving skills.
Maintenance of CRM (Salesforce) data to a high quality for Institutional Sales teams with a specific focus on meeting notes, opportunity updates, contact and relationship details/updates
Assist with managing sales advisors calendars as well as executing logistics for on-site events (e.g. Room bookings, printed materials, coordinating facilities, etc.)
Support Client Service partners with regular and ad-hoc client queries
Assist Client Service partners with marketing efforts for various Institutional sales teams
Gain a basic understanding of AB products and investment processes
What We’re Looking For:
Candidates should be top academic performers, be interested in the investment management industry and meet the following criteria:
Spring 2027 Bachelor’s degree candidates in business, finance, economics, data science, math, liberal arts, or similar program
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better
Eligible to work in the US, without sponsorship
Strong analytical and communication skills
Detail-oriented, ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player and self-starter
Client-focused with a high degree of professionalism, motivation, and initiative
Interest and intellectual curiosity in learning about all aspects of the retail investment management business and capital markets
Interest in successfully completing the Security Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 63 licensing exams for consideration in a full-time role post-graduation
Candidates must be available to work full-time from June through August.
It is not permissible to simultaneously take academic classes or hold other employment that will conflict with the internship schedule.
Selected candidates will need to successfully complete a thorough background check.
Please note that if given a full-time return offer the start date would be July of 2027
