Reporting into the Operations Manager – Advanced Materials , the Production Operator will be based out of Cleveland, Ohio and will be responsible for the day-to-day safe operation in Electronic Materials which includes operating mills, screeners, blenders, furnaces, ovens, scales, lift trucks, and mobile equipment.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all safety rules and use of proper PPE.
- Follow all standard operating procedures.
- Ability to read and understand all necessary production instructions, spreadsheets, and reports.
- Operate following equipment: Mixer and Blenders (Non-Lead, Bismuth, and/or Lead), Crucible Melters, Continuous Melters, Batch Mills (Dry, Water, and/or Solvent), Continuous Mill, Hammer Mill, Dryers, Screening equipment, Forklift, Walk-behind, Pallet Jacks.

- Adhere to the Collective Bargaining Agreement and attendance policies.
Required Experience
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and memos.
Preferred Experience
- High School Education or GED
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and multi-task under time constraints.
- Ability to thrive in a team atmosphere.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to walk, sit, stand, bend, lift, shovel, scoop, and move continuously during an 8-hour shift.
- Able to climb stairs
- Subject to lifting 50lbs.
- Work in non-temperature-controlled environment.
- Regularly exposed to dust and fumes Material is present in the workplace (typically contained in raw material): Pb0, Ba, Ca, Si02. Additional chemicals in some production areas: Methanol and Isopropyl Alcohol, which are handled with protective equipment.
- All noise exposure is below 85db TWA.
- The wearing of the following PPE required provided by the company: hard hat, safety shoes, safety glasses with side shields, respirator, gloves, coat, face shield, Tyvek suit required based on exposure.
- OSHA requires Lead Blood tests every 6 months and yearly medical testing (performed on site and at the company’s expense).
