POSITION:                  PRC Program Supervisor           

SALARY:                   $34.55 to $36.65, per hour DOE

REPORTS TO:          Revenue Cycle Director

LOCATION:               Purchased Referred Care, Nespelem, WA 

 

Basic Functions:      This is an Exempt position. The PRC Program Supervisor oversees and manages the Purchased/Referred Care (PRC) program, ensuring compliance with IHS, tribal, and federal regulations. This position supervises PRC staff, coordinates patient referrals for healthcare services unavailable within the facility, maintains fiscal integrity, maximizes utilization of alternate resources, and fosters partnerships with external providers to ensure timely, appropriate, and cost-effective care.

Qualifications


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Training: 

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Requires a minimum of three (3) years of experience in PRC, contract health, or related healthcare program management.
  • Requires at least one (1) year of supervisory experience
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
  • Certifications in healthcare management, case management, or related fields are preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Requires in-depth knowledge of CHCA and IHS PRC program guidelines, policies, and legislative requirements.
  • Requires understanding of healthcare fiscal management, budgeting, and spending plan development.
  • Requires proficiency in health information systems such as RPMS and UFMS.
  • Requires strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
  • Ability to develop strategies to maximize the use of alternate healthcare funding resources.
  • Ability to foster positive relationships with patients, providers, and partner organizations.
  • Ability to resolve complex referral and billing issues with sound judgment.
  • Ability to adapt to evolving regulations and program requirements.
  • Ability to interpret complex program regulations and translate them into operational procedures
  • Work is primarily performed in an office setting with extended periods of sitting, intermittent walking, and occasional lifting of items up to 25 pounds.
  • Travel may be required to attend provider meetings, trainings, or community events.

Note: Pursuant to Tribal Policy, if this position is safety sensitive it is subject to pre-employment drug testing. In addition, this position is subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing.

 

TRIBAL MEMBER AND INDIAN PREFERENCE WILL APPLY; PREFERENCE WILL ALSO BE GIVEN TO HONORABLY DISCHARGED VETERANS WHO ARE MINIMALLY QUALIFIED.

 

If required of this position, you must possess and maintain a valid Washington State driver’s license and be eligible for the Tribes’ Vehicle Insurance.  In addition, this position may be subject to pre-employment background clearances.  If applicable, these clearances must be maintained throughout employment.
