Description

Purpose:

Material Handler II is responsible for moving products from the warehouse to the lines and staging the smarttill assembly lines for upcoming jobs.

Responsibilities: 

Quality
The Material Handler is responsible for producing the highest quality parts for their customers.

• Perform frequent quality checks
• Follow inventory control programs
•  Accurately communicate the needs of the lines

Customer Service
The Material Handler is responsible for providing superior customer service to their internal and external customers.

• Cross-train in various roles to fill in when needed
• Maintain production equipment and tools
• Provide components to assembly lines
• Prepare pallets for logistics
• Complete customer orders on time
• Operate forklift and pallet jack
• Package items securely, using appropriate packaging materials and methods to prevent damage during shipping

Continuous Improvement
The Material Handler will take great pride in their ability to continually improve the processes within the Company.

• Work with team members to maximize productivity
• Identify and help implement continual improvement actions
• Maintain, report, and promote clean and safe work environments

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Experience driving forklifts and/or forklift certification a plus
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are critical (hand/eye coordination and dexterity)
• Communication proficiency, able to speak, read, and understand the English Language
• Ability to lift 30 lbs. consistently 
• Motivated, team player that can also work independently

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent from studies or six months in a related field and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
