Description

Purpose:

An Assembler III is responsible for ensuring the assembly quality and workmanship are consistent with our company’s and our customers’ standards and processes. Take personal responsibility to ensure the end results meet or exceed defined specifications and requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret work orders, process plans, drawings, and diagrams required in the assembly of cash drawers and related products.
  • Assemble electrical or electronic equipment
  • Understand and perform inspection and testing of cash drawers and cash drawer products per specifications and customer requirements.
  • Mentor and assist new assembly workers as requested by the team leader, supervisor, or production manager.
  • Complete tasks and duties as assigned by the team leader, supervisor, or production manager.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workstation, take action to correct safety issues or report safety concerns to the team leader or assembly supervisor for action.
  • Learn and maintain knowledge of all workstations, tools, and fixtures.
  • Comply with apg’s Quality System.
  • Fill and complete parts orders per work order.
  • Know and understand parts by item key part number and by visual identification.
  • Complete all forms and documents as required.
  • Follow safety guidelines.
  • Perform other work duties as assigned by the team leader, supervisor, or production manager.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Must have experience testing and assembling electronic devices.
  • Ability to perform highly precise work.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment is critical (hand/eye coordination and dexterity).
  • Communication proficiency, able to speak, read, and understand the English language.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately assemble parts using written, verbal and visual work instructions.
  • Ability to use power and hand assembly tools.
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift 30 lbs. consistently.
  • Motivated, team player that can also work independently.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent from studies or six months in a related field and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2-5 years of working experience in assembly manufacturing.
