The Accounts Payable (AP) Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency of Excel Services’ vendor invoice and payment processes. This position manages the full cycle of accounts payable, working within BuildOps and Sage Intacct to enter invoices, verify costs, post transactions, and resolve discrepancies. The AP Specialist collaborates closely with both internal departments and external vendors to maintain strong working relationships, support month-end closing activities, and ensure the integrity of our financial data.

Key Responsibilities
- 45% – Enter vendor bills into BuildOps & Sage Intacct
- 15% – Post credit card transactions into BuildOps & Sage Intacct
- 10% – Scan and file AP invoices
- 10% – Prepare bi-weekly vendor payment schedules
- 5% – Process vendor payments
- 5% – Manage AP inbox
- 5% – Report PO/receipt/bill variances
- 5% – Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
- 1–3 years of accounting data entry or administrative experience
- 1–3 years of industry-related administrative experience (construction preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and common financial software programs
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Prior experience in construction accounting and A/P processes
