Job Summary
Responsible for a variety of administrative tasks to support Human Resources, including building the sourcing and candidate process for the organization, facilitating, or assisting with interviews, verifying accuracy of employee records, and other administrative duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Leads in the recruitment function by sourcing and developing pipelines to deliver quality talent to meet departmental needs.
- Responsible for the verification of employee work history, licensures, and follow-up on references.
- Manages the applicant platform – job postings, applicants greetings, interview scheduling, etc.
- Implement various methods and resources to identify, attract, and deliver quality candidates.
- Develops and maintains relationships with community resources to find quality applicants.
- Assists in the onboarding process as directed or needed.
- Assists in the storage, maintenance and organization of job descriptions, personnel files, and other records for the hospital, as needed.
- Oversees the tracking/updating of professional licensures and workman’s compensation.
- Coordinates exit interviews and responsible for turnover tracking analytics.
- Assists in identifying organizational compliance with all existing governmental and labor legal reporting requirements, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), the Department of Labor (DOL), worker’s compensation, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and so forth.
- Responsible for the upkeep of the employee directory.
- Assists with storage and retention of the progressive discipline system and employee records of the hospital.
- Documents employee communication and feedback in areas such as suggestion programs and employee satisfaction surveys.
- May assist in training of new employees.
- Assists with process improvement and other HR related projects as needed.
- Assists with employee engagement initiatives.
- Assists with updating various programs and documents with current employee data.
- Actively engage in quality improvement activities.
- Assumes other responsibilities as assigned by the Human Resources Director.
Requirements
Minimum Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Experience in HR or Recruitment or Employee Training
Preferred Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree within HR or related field
- Healthcare experience
Skills/Competencies
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Communication skills, both written and verbal, with excellent interpersonal relationships.
- Intermediate knowledge of word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and outlook scheduling.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Physical Requirements
Perceive the nature of sounds by the ear, express or exchange ideas by means of spoken word, perceive characteristics of objects through the eyes, extend arms and hands in any direction, seize, hold, grasp, turn, or otherwise work with hands, pick, pinch, or otherwise work with fingers, perceive such attributes of objects or materials as size, shape, temperature, or texture; and stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. Must be able to lift 25 pounds maximum with frequent lifting, carrying pushing, and pulling of objects weighing up to 10 pounds. Continuous walking and standing. Must be able to identify, match, and distinguish colors.
