The External Credentialing Coordinator works closely with our External Medical Staff Specialist by ensuring provider hospital privilege applications are prefilled and complete with all necessary credentialing information for a completed application. The external credentialing department is essential in supporting the privilege for provider placements across the country and is an integral part of the success of Hayes Locums.  

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop competency in accurately prefilling hospital privilege application for provider placements across the country.
  • Research and collect hard copy documentation of the top 14 verification elements of a hospital privilege application.
  • Work in conjunction with our Internal Credentialing team to confirm required credentialing information and supporting documents.
  • Works with External Medical Staff Specialist in implementing client-tailored protocols and templates to ensure a timely and accurate prefill.
  • Remain actively in touch with provider throughout the initial completion of the privileged application.
  • Actively seeks guidance, direction, coaching, and feedback from management, peers, and others from a position which assumes positive intent for development and growth.
  • Completes work on time; proactively communicating progress and issues to relevant parties.
  • Delivers quality outputs consistent with the expectations set forth by leadership.
  • Holds self-accountable to ensure goals are met.
  • Takes ownership for understanding and resolving problems, issues, and questions.
  • Interacts cross-departmentally to ensure collaboration and alignment to placement objective and timeline.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (required)
  • Proficient at Microsoft 365 products (Excel, Power Point, Word, and Outlook)
  • Highly organized in managing one’s schedule, duties, workflows, and responsibilities
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work and manage multiple priorities
  • Able to take direction and apply learning to all other relevant tasks
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
