Responsibilities

Benefit Administration

  • Calculates monthly billings for life, short-term disability, stop loss, optional life insurance, voluntary life insurance, employee assistance program and other voluntary benefits
  • Initiates wire transfer for A/P to process monthly billings
  • Enrolls and updates changes in the software system provided by the carrier
  • Processes long-term disability and short-term disability claims including continuing medical updates
  • Provides written and verbal information relating to existing problems, new problems, or changes to benefits to employees
  • Assists in renewal process and recommendations for improvements or changes
  • Assists employees with questions or concerns related to benefits
  • Assist with open enrollment and with the appropriate paperwork for underwriting requirements
  • Process all new hire introductions to benefits
  • Guide employees through Life Events and Open Enrollment in UltiPro
  • Track dependents terming at age 26
  • Point of contact for employment verifications
  • Sending unemployment requests and determinations to proper plant location
  • Track and update proper benefit/deduction groups for all employees
  • Initiate wellness initiatives and create company-wide communication to promote and encourage them

 

Family Medical Leave Act Administration

  • Manage FMLA Accrual Balances in Kronos
  • Ensure all FMLA paperwork used is current with the DOL
  • Overall management of company FMLA usage
  • Process FMLA paperwork for all Red Gold and RGT employees
  • Maintain electronic FMLA files for all locations

HR Communication/Administrative Tasks

  • Serve as the first HR point of contact and provide employees with accurate and timely information as requested
  • Analyze and update job descriptions on an annual/as-needed basis 
  • Create and post UKG & Digital Display Board (DDB) Communication of HR material and miscellaneous items as needed

Other

  • Creation and Maintenance of Personnel Files
  • New hire orientation for all new Corporate Employees
  • I-9 and E-verify all new Corporate Employees

 

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in benefits and 401k administration
  • Leave Management Experience including FMLA compliance
  • Desire to be cross trained in other aspects of Human Resources
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office products (particularly Excel)
  • Outstanding communication skills

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • The employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time whether that be sitting or standing
