PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support process improvement initiatives focused on food safety, product quality, efficiency, and sustainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Production, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, and Engineering to identify and implement operational improvements.
- Participate in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of production and packaging line issues.
- Help develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs), training materials, and maintenance documentation.
- Monitor equipment performance and assist in identifying opportunities for reliability and throughput improvements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts across operations to enhance performance and reduce waste.
- Support commissioning and startup activities for new equipment or process changes.
- Assist in data collection and analysis to support decision-making and project justification.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering: Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Chemical, Process preferred. Other engineering disciplines may be considered.
- Internship or co-op experience in operations, engineering, or manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong communication and technical writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or similar industrial environment is a plus.
TRAVEL:
- Limited travel (up to 10%) may be required for training or business support.
OTHER:
- While our facility is air-conditioned, some tasks may occasionally take place in the warehouse, which isn’t climate-controlled. We’ll always ensure safety is prioritized, and these experiences offer a great chance to see operations in action.
