SUMMARY:
The Grant/Special Education Accountant at National Heritage Academies (NHA) will have responsibility for the accounting and financial reporting requirements to the academies and financial operations of the corporate office in the area of Special Education.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee the compilation of reports for distribution to school and corporate administration.
Prepare financial analysis on Special Education for reporting to various agencies and administration and internal stakeholders.
Monitor and report on spending as it relates to budget.
Assist with information gathering and distribution to school and corporate employees.
Prepare and monitor revenue accruals.
Assist with annual audit.
Less than 5 overnight trips per year.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in Accounting or equivalent from college or technical school.
Two to four years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have extensive computer skills and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Well organized and able to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
It is important that this individual work well within a team whenever called upon to assume that role within the department.
This position requires individual decision making abilities and the assumption of the responsibility for those decisions.
This is an in-person position at our NHA Service Center located at 3850 Broadmoor Ave., Grand Rapids, MI.
