JOB TITLE: Accounts Receivable & Payable Supervisor                                                                         FLSA STATUS:  Exempt

 SUPERVISOR’S TITLE:  Controller

ProEgg is looking for a detail-oriented finance professional with a passion for and driving accuracy to lead our dynamic AR/AP team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring timely and accurate processing of customer invoices, payments, and collections.

 

General Summary: As the Accounts Receivable and Payables Supervisor, you will oversee the accounts receivable and payable team, ensuring accurate recording, payment recording and collection of customer invoices.

 

Supervisory:

  • Manage, coach, and develop direct reports.
  • Provides daily supervision to the existing team, as well as recruitment, development, and mentorship of top talent to strengthen and expand the current team. 
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Reviews AP/AR reports; ensures correct receivables and payments are made in a timely manner. 
  • Oversees general AR/AP department systems, policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Assists in the assessment and development of AR/AP procedures.
  • Improves and implements controls, ensuring accurate processing and collection of invoices.
  • Serves as a liaison between clients and AR/AP Specialists to negotiate acceptable payments.
  • Addresses and corrects any discrepancies in accounts or billings. 
  • May assist controller with analysis of data and reports.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, developments, and best practices in the AR/AP profession; applies this knowledge to recommend and implement process and policy changes.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Thorough understanding of AR/AP principles and procedures.
  • Ability to constructively collaborate with various individuals with a variety of personalities.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.
  • Proficient with or able to quickly learn the accounting software used by the organization.

 

Education and Experience:  Associate’s degree in accounting or related field required. Mid-level experience in accounting, AP, AR role. Supervisory experience preferred. Preference may be given to qualified applicants with current experience working with ProEgg financials.  

 

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 10-15 lbs. Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time. 

 

Working Conditions:  Standard office setting.
