Position Description

Major/Essential Functions
- Provide high-level administrative support to the Superintendent, including managing calendars,
scheduling meetings, and preparing materials. - Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, reports, presentations, and other documents.
- Screen and route incoming calls, visitors, and correspondence, ensuring professional and timely responses. Serve as the primary point of contact between the Superintendent’s office, staff, Advisory Board, parents, and community members.
- Coordinate Advisory Board meetings, including preparing agendas, notices, minutes, and supporting documentation.
- Organize and manage special projects or assignments as delegated by the Superintendent.
- Track deadlines, ensure follow-up, and maintain project documentation. Prepare and distribute reports, data, and information for decision-making and compliance purposes.
- Handle sensitive information with the highest degree of professionalism and discretion. Assist with preparation of official reports, contracts, and compliance documentation.
- Arrange travel, lodging, and reimbursements for the Superintendent.
- Support other central office administrators as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned to support the smooth operation of the Superintendent’s office.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of office practices, procedures, and equipment, including records management systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, guide, and collaborate across departments and with external partners.
- Skilled in organizing large-scale in-person and virtual events aimed at engagement, recruitment, and relationship-building.
- Capable of navigating complex challenges with creativity and flexibility in a fast-paced, evolving educational environment.
- Experience in working in K-12 Schools.

Preferred Qualifications
- Doctoral degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate and principal certification
- Minimum of five years in a leadership or supervisory role in a Texas public school.
