Job Summary:
Lead MPP’s Cross-functional Defect Prevention planning and execution utilizing zero defect tools within the Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP) framework as outlined in AS 9100, AS9145 and AS13100 flowed through customer requirements, i.e. GE S100. Additionally, this position will lead the functional development and administration of all standard work, processes and procedures within the department, working closely with supported business areas to achieve full integration and alignment to MPP’s annual objectives.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and sustainment of a cross-functional zero-defect leadership culture
- Act as the company’s Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the primary defect prevention toolkit; to include, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA, Process Capability, Error Proofing and Statistical Process Control
- Lead the development and full integration of an APQP framework into MPP’s Quality Management System and governing processes.
- Development and sustainment of Standard Work for all Quality processes
- Develop and oversee training and implementation of the Quality Department’s approach and execution for 8D problem solving
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the Quality Management System (QMS) to assure continued compliance to customer requirements and registration to AS9100 Aerospace Quality System standards
- Assist in the management of compliance and registration status for NADCAP special processes
- Support both internal and external audits
- Review and approve manufacturing planning and planning changes, especially for New Product Introductions (NPIs)
- Participate in all Quality activities, with a focus on quality objectives, product conformity, including FAIs & characteristic accountability
- Use effective Root Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) strategies as they apply to CPARs, Escapes, MRB, etc.
- Provide shop floor technical support and act as the technical resource for drawing interpretation questions to manufacturing
- Assist with all customer support activities, including: notification of quality escapes, investigation of customer returns, responding to customer CARs, and submitting NC/MRBs to the customer for approval

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or 5 years’ experience in quality and manufacturing roles
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and industry standards
- Demonstrated knowledge of ASME Y14.5 (GD&T)
- Proficiency in MS Office including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access
Desired Characteristics:

- Lean / Six Sigma and Statistical Analysis Experience
Work Environment:
- Primarily Shared office environment.
- May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, smoke (Not over OSHA Permissible Exposure Levels).
