Description
Miami Children’s Museum is seeking a creative, organized, and passionate Enrichment Coordinator to oversee the design and delivery of enrichment programs that inspire children through dance, art, and theater. This role plays a key part in ensuring our afterschool and enrichment activities align with the Museum’s mission of sparking imagination and fostering learning through play and creativity.
The Enrichment Coordinator will lead the planning, supervision, and execution of enrichment activities across multiple sites, manage showcases and productions, and collaborate with staff, families, and community partners to ensure high-quality, engaging programs.
What You'll Do
- Oversee daily enrichment programs with a focus on safety, developmental appropriateness, and creativity.
- Supervise and coach Studio Artists and Dance Instructors on lesson delivery, classroom management, and student engagement.
- Plan and manage major events and productions, including Lights on Afterschool, Black History Month Showcase, end-of-year ceremonies, and more.
- Recruit, onboard, and train enrichment staff; provide ongoing coaching and support.
- Collaborate with community partners such as the New World Symphony and the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center to enrich student experiences.
- Support grant-funded enrichment initiatives such as STEAM.
- Develop, produce, and write original theater pieces for school programs.
- Manage program operations, including timekeeping, supply ordering, curriculum implementation, and compliance with all funder, Museum, and DCF requirements.
- Communicate with families through newsletters, events, and showcases to foster strong family engagement.
- Assist with administrative reporting, timekeeping, and coordination to ensure grant compliance and smooth program operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience developing educational activities and coordinating youth programs.
- At least 1 year of supervisory or project management experience.
- Strong background in art and theater; ability to create engaging, arts-based activities for children.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills.
- Team-oriented with a proactive, hands-on approach.
- Must obtain Staff Credential/DCF 45 Hours.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
- Reliable transportation.
- Must pass Level 2 background screening (fingerprints) and drug test.
