Seeking a Center-Based Program Director oversees operations for Early/Head Start and childcare programs serving children ages 24 months to five years, ensuring compliance with agency and funder guidelines. The role involves managing program plans, supporting staff, coordinating resources, and collaborating with leadership to achieve organizational goals. Additionally, the Director contributes to recruitment and enrollment efforts to maintain full program capacity and fosters a high-quality learning environment tailored to each child and family. This position offers an annual pay of $80,000, including medical, vision, dental, paid time off, 401K and other voluntary benefits. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday from 9:30 am - 6 pm.

Casa Central’s Early Learning Academy provides high quality, comprehensive early childhood education services for young children, ages birth to five, and their families. The Center-Based Program Director is responsible for the operation of a comprehensive Early/Head Start and childcare program for children aged 24 months – 5 years of age. This Program Director is responsible for contributing to the agency’s goals, objectives and commitments as it pertains to early childhood education, creating an early learning environment that meet the needs of each individual child and family enrolled in the program.

Position Highlights

  • Lead the Center-Based Early Learning Academy, ensuring compliance with Head Start, DCFS, Preschool for All, funder, and accreditation requirements.

  • Monitor all program areas to uphold quality standards and meet contractual deliverables.

  • Collaborate with leadership to address challenges, implement strategies, and enhance recruitment, enrollment, and program outcomes.

  • Ensure clear communication with staff, stakeholders, and partners to strengthen engagement and responsiveness.

  • Develop and execute annual program plans, goals, and objectives using Performance Quality Improvement processes.

  • Prepare and submit accurate reports on program progress, metrics, and outcomes within required timelines.

  • Build strong relationships with parents, staff, and community partners to support child and family success.

  • Oversee staff recruitment, selection, supervision, and performance management, including professional development planning.

  • Conduct regular staff meetings and provide timely updates on agency and partner initiatives.

  • Partner with Family Services to coordinate parent engagement activities and ensure family needs are met across health, nutrition, and development.

  • Manage training schedules to ensure staff complete funder-required professional development hours annually.

  • Oversee grant and contract compliance, including communication, monitoring, and data tracking systems.
