Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform radiographic exams for Interventional Pain/ Vascular physicians or assist providers during
interventional/ vascular procedures using a C-arm - Training for Procedures responsible for
- Responsible for safely demonstrating proficiency in patient care skills as well as maintaining a superior
knowledge of radiography and positioning - Obtain all equipment needed for a procedure
- Responsible for positioning and imaging patients
- Resolve equipment issues and schedule machine repair/ maintenance
- Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, radiation safety, interventional supplies, and equipment
operation - Load PACS system with patient information for proper documentation
- Prepare sterile trays, drugs, and patient preparation for procedures
- Ensure proper patient positioning: prone vs. supine, use of cervical headrest and knowledge of
procedures and protocols - Demonstrate proper alignment of the C-arm for all procedures
- Apply patient wound dressings when applicable
- Stock, restock and ordering in clinic rooms as needed
- Perform monitoring of equipment including radiofrequency during patient treatment course
- Demonstrate proper use and disposal of biohazard materials and containers when applicable
- Responsible for cleaning bed/C-arm, helps clean room in between patients, and helps with RFNA probe
cleaning and all equipment and tool sterilization - Ensuring ALARA rules are being met in procedure room
- Maintaining and regularly scanning lead garments for viability
Other Duties:
- As assigned by Supervisor
- Stay up to date on Continuing Education courses
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
- A combination of technical, radiologic and clinical skill
- Completion of a JRCERT accredited certificate/degree program
Preferred:
- 1-2 years of C-arm experience, preferably in a procedures setting
