Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiographic exams for Interventional Pain/ Vascular physicians or assist providers during
            interventional/ vascular procedures using a C-arm
  • Training for Procedures responsible for
  • Responsible for safely demonstrating proficiency in patient care skills as well as maintaining a superior
            knowledge of radiography and positioning
  • Obtain all equipment needed for a procedure
  • Responsible for positioning and imaging patients
  • Resolve equipment issues and schedule machine repair/ maintenance
  • Demonstrate knowledge of human anatomy, radiation safety, interventional supplies, and equipment 
            operation
  • Load PACS system with patient information for proper documentation
  • Prepare sterile trays, drugs, and patient preparation for procedures
  • Ensure proper patient positioning: prone vs. supine, use of cervical headrest and knowledge of 
            procedures and protocols
  • Demonstrate proper alignment of the C-arm for all procedures
  • Apply patient wound dressings when applicable
  • Stock, restock and ordering in clinic rooms as needed
  • Perform monitoring of equipment including radiofrequency during patient treatment course
  • Demonstrate proper use and disposal of biohazard materials and containers when applicable
  • Responsible for cleaning bed/C-arm, helps clean room in between patients, and helps with RFNA probe
           cleaning and all equipment and tool sterilization
  • Ensuring ALARA rules are being met in procedure room
  • Maintaining and regularly scanning lead garments for viability

Other Duties:

  • As assigned by  Supervisor
  • Stay up to date on Continuing Education courses

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • A combination of technical, radiologic and clinical skill
  • Completion of a JRCERT accredited certificate/degree program

Preferred:

  • 1-2 years of C-arm experience, preferably in a procedures setting
