SUMMARY:  The Electrical Technician is responsible for assembling, wiring, and testing electrical components and systems used in industrial equipment and distribution products. This role requires strong attention to detail, adherence to safety and quality standards, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.

• Assemble and wire electrical panels, control boxes, and industrial equipment according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and work instructions.
• Perform quality checks and functional testing of assembled components.
• Troubleshoot and resolve wiring and assembly issues during the build process.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work performed and materials used.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure timely and accurate builds.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives related to assembly processes and product quality.
• Performs other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required. An individual must meet the minimum requirements as listed in each Qualifications subsection. 

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in electrical technology or related field preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years of experience in electrical assembly, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience in an ISO9001 environment preferred.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of safety standards and practices in an industrial setting.
• High level of commitment towards customer satisfaction
• Strong work ethic pursuing a high standard of excellence. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee typically is on their feet and moving around an industrial work area during the majority of the day. The work is physically demanding at times requiring heavy lifting up to 50 lbs. and working in tight quarters. Physical tasks include walking, grasping, carrying, lifting, assembling, listening, writing, speaking, and traveling.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the primary duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to a general production environment.  Must be able to move through warehouses, manufacturing facilities, and related machinery, etc.  Work outside normal business hours may be required.
