JOB TITLE: Dispatcher DEPARTMENT: Dispatch/Receiving Vault
REPORTS TO: Vault Supervisor CLASSIFICATION: Nonexempt
SUMMARY: Coordinating orders and dispatching truck drivers for material pick-ups and deliveries. Responsible for entering, and maintaining information in written, electronic, or magnetic formats.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Relay work orders, messages, and updates between supervisors, field staff, and work crews via telephone.
- Monitor CCTV systems and premises to ensure safety and security.
- Address customer and supervisory inquiries, concerns, and issues in a timely manner.
- Prepare and maintain daily work schedules and run sheets.
- Receive, review, and process work orders accurately.
- Complete all required paperwork thoroughly and correctly.
- Communicate all concerns, incidents, or warnings to management promptly.
- Verify identification before granting access to company premises
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment by following Rapid’s safety policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor and/or manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with administrative procedures and office systems.
- Knowledge of the five (5) boroughs of New York City.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated solid and consistent work history.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules; may be required to work up to six (6) days per week with rotating days off, including weekends and holidays.
- Availability to work between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in cash handling within the secure logistics or banking industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot effectively
- Willingness and ability to participate in both initial and annual training as required by the company, state, or city regulations.
- Commitment to consistently following firearms, driving, and operational procedures, while upholding all company policies, standards, and guidelines outlined in the employee handbook and operational manuals.
LICENSING AND CERTIFICATION:
- Ability to obtain and carry a valid City Of New York Carry Guard license permit for a handgun. In addition, a shotgun license may also be required at the discretion of the company.
- Obtain any other ID's, licenses or registrations required by local, state, or federal authorities.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
While carrying out the duties of this role, the employee is frequently required to:
- Sit and/or stand for extended periods.
- Lift up to 50 pounds from the ground to an upright position with arms extended at the sides.
- Push and pull loads of up to 2,500 pounds (equivalent to one coin skid) using a hand pallet jack.
