Position Summary: 

Primary resource for leading AA TECH in its Advanced Manufacturing and Lean Transformations.   Assist responsible groups in manufacturing technology advancement, lean tool utilization and training, and the use of problem solving methodologies ranging from basic tools to Six Sigma Black Belts.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research, benchmark, and lead the implementation of the strategy for “Best in Class” manufacturing processes to achieve higher capability and lower risks across the organization
  • Prioritize what processes (measurement, test, manufacturing, production, etc.) need to be standardized and improved, and assess gaps to create that standardization and improvement.
  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of improved manufacturing processes and management methods to generate improved work flow, capacity optimization, energy management, sustainability, and higher ROI
  • Align Lean, Automation, and Digitization strategies across the organization
  • Drive manufacturing and inspection innovation and ownership for new technologies
  • Leads the Strategy Deployment process and helps coach/facilitate the development of Breakthrough Objectives and Annual Improvement Priorities along with the AA TECH Staff.
  • Guides all Lean initiatives at AA TECH.  Works with Staff and Plant level management on lean implementation using lean methodology as the principal tool.
  • Partners with Parker and GE teams to support Continuous Improvement initiatives across all organizations
  • Ensure adherence to Lean standards at AA TECH for the Site, enabling a PDCA culture and progression of the lean methodology. Provides high level of technical and operational recommendations in meeting productivity, material control, product quality, and customer service goals. 
  • Helps develop Lean Leaders, Engineering Subject Matter Experts, and Six Sigma Black Belts with an emphasis on championing AA TECH’s goals, objectives, and implementation plans relative to the long term strategy of the business.
  • Ensures on-going education of all employees at AA TECH in Lean & Six Sigma / Problem Solving tools.  Promotes a Continuous Learning & Problem Solving culture. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of manufacturing experience demonstrating a self-starting and hands-on quality.  
  • Four-year degree or equivalent required.
  • A good understanding of Lean principles such as Value Stream Mapping, Single Piece Flow, 5S, Visual Management, Continuous Improvement Process, Kaizen, SPC, Six Sigma, Statistical Problem Solving. 
  • Has successfully led Kaizen events within a manufacturing environment.  Has participated in numerous other Kaizen events preferably in both the manufacturing and office areas. 
  • Desired experience with Strategy Deployment, X-matrix
  • Experience with identifying and implementing advanced manufacturing processes and equipment
  • Good understanding of financial measurements and goals. 
  • Excellent communication skills to lead and support empowered employees in a team environment. 
  • Good presentation skills to effectively share the success and ideas of AA TECH.
