WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
We are seeking a hands-on and detail-oriented Senior Accountant II to join our growing Finance team and support our expanding global business.
You will:
- Be a key member of the General Ledger team
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly close
- Assist with audits and SOX compliance.
- Drive process improvements and efficiency through system optimization.
This role reports directly to the Sr. Manager, Accounting and offers exposure to the senior Executives on the Corporate Accounting team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Play an essential role in the month-end and quarter-end close processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and supporting reconciliations.
- Ensure financial reporting and compliance with US GAAP
- Perform monthly analytics to ensure completeness and accuracy of financial statements.
- Coordinate and support statutory compliance and audits for international entities.
- Partner with FP&A and Accounts Payable teams for accurate expense coding.
- Prepare monthly balance sheet account reconciliations
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and resolve transaction issues.
- Contribute to the optimization of existing financial platforms.
- Document accounting policies and procedures.
- Support financial audits and SOX compliance.
- Contribute to ad hoc analyses and special projects..
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Big 4/ or large regional firm experience a plus
- CPA and/or MBA a plus
- International accounting experience a plus
- SaaS or Technology industry preferred
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP & general SOX understanding
- Highly organized, results-driven, and works well in a fast-paced environment
- Highly self-motivated, detail-oriented, able to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills,
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite, Floqast, Numeric or other comparable ERP systems preferred).
For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $110,000 - $125,000/year with an expected On Target Earnings (OTE) between $125,000 - $135,000/year (including bonus or commission). Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to cash compensation, Braze offers full- and part- time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants of restricted stock (RSUs) so that all Braze employees own a piece of our company.
