We are currently seeking a Conveyor Belt Maintenance Coordinator to join our maintenance team at our Coeur Rochester Mine, located 26 miles Northeast of Lovelock, Nevada. Rochester Mine utilizes a 3-stage open circuit crushing plant that covers 1 mile in length and operates 13 conveyors and 6 Feeder belts, both steel cord and conventional textile belt widths from 60” to 108”.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee maintenance and repair of over 14,000 feet of conveyor belting, including steel cord and textile belts ranging from 60” to 108”.
- Manage manpower allocation for both in-house belt crews and external belting contractors to ensure efficient use of resources.
- Serve as company liaison with belting contractors for quality control, splicing documentation, and installation standards.
- Maintain belt replacement schedules, cost tracking spreadsheets, and operational cost reporting for each conveyor.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of conveyor systems to identify issues, ensure compliance, and verify proper maintenance procedures.
- Escalate belt issues that impact safety or production in a timely manner to supervisors and management.
- Coordinate work during planned and unplanned crusher or conveyor outages to maximize productivity during downtime.
- Plan and oversee major maintenance outages and projects, including defining scope of work, scheduling, budgeting, quality control, and commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with MSHA regulations as well as federal, state, local, and company safety policies.
- Promote and implement continuous improvement strategies to enhance safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with personnel across shifts to maintain operational continuity.
- Track and report performance data for all conveyors, including downtime, reliability, and cost metrics.
- Utilize Microsoft Office, Oracle EAM, and other CMMS systems to manage scheduling, reporting, and maintenance records.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 - 10 years of mining operations and conveyor system experience.
- Experience related to conveyor belt installation and maintenance.
- Must have a high level of understanding MSHA Regulations.
- Ability to communicate with personnel on shift and adjacent shifts.
- Must be willing to work on any assigned shift, including holidays and scheduled weekends.
- Supervisor and/or crew lead experience preferred.
- Experience with steel cord and textile 60” 72” 84” 96” 108” belt (preferred).
- Identify and implement continuous improvement (CI) strategies targeting safety, reliability, and cost savings.
- Ability to follow company, State and Federal plans and policies.
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office programs.
- Experience in Oracle EAM and other CMMS programs and scheduling tools.
- Ability to walk on uneven ground, working at heights and climbing multiple flights of stairs multiple times throughout the shift.
Additional Information:
- Hourly Rate Range: $40.29 – $45.67 (DOE)
- Schedule: Monday – Thursday. This position may require the necessity to work weekends, holidays, or another shift as deemed necessary.
- Quarterly bonus up to $4,100 (up to $16,400 annually)
- Relocation available for certain positions
