In this role, you'll:


This exciting new role within Auburn Heavy Maintenance Centre will allow you to develop your team and develop improvements that support the Fleet Maintenance strategy.

 
As part of Sydney Trains, working within our Auburn Heavy Maintenance Centre team, you will lead a team of Quality Inspectors to deliver effective rolling-stock maintenance and material quality and compliance management processes that achieve rolling stock and engineering maintenance priorities at Auburn Heavy Maintenance Centre.



About you


You will be responsible for developing and implementing quality controls, delivering performance reporting and providing improvement recommendations on quality standards.

 

You will oversee the analysis of quality performance and provide recommendations for the mitigation of current and future maintenance and material quality and non-conformance issues, risks, and dependencies. 

You will also provide material Non-Conformance advice, maintain accurate records, deliver timely and accurate reporting, and effectively manage inventory inspection solutions through to closeout.

 
You will provide specialist services in relation to rolling stock quality and assurance, quality specifications and plans in compliance with laws, regulations, and safety standards, including ongoing collaboration with rolling stock engineers and relevant SME’s.

 
This will also see you manage audits and inspections scheduled, quality inspections and reviews, ensure all audits and inspections are carried out in timely manner and actions taken to drive improvements in quality management systems.


Your excellent communication skills will see you build and maintain productive partnerships with vendors/ suppliers, Fleet Engineers, Fleet Managers, and Principal Engineers to maintain maintenance and material quality and compliance.
