Wärtsilä Energy Business is now looking for Logistics Development Engineer to lead and manage logistics partner performance. As a Logistics Development Engineer you will be working as a part of the EPP logistics team.
The position is located in Houston, USA.
In this role your work will focus on these responsibilities:
- Maintain and verify logistics partners compliance and capability towards QMS tailored to transportation operations
- Ensure compliance with relevant transportation regulations and internal company standards.
- Conduct regular audits, operation inspections, and performance reviews to identify risks, non-conformities, and improvement areasLead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions
- Evaluate and manage the quality performance of third-party transportation providers and suppliers
- Monitor quality and performance KPIs (on-time delivery, accident rate, claim rate, etc.) and provide regular reports to stakeholders
- Create and execute development plan for logistics partners in own areaCollaborate with customer support team to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded
- Be active member in Global Category team
Requirements:
- Several years of working experience in logistics or quality management
- B.Sc. or M.Sc. in a technical or commercial area
- Ability to analyse and evaluate key elements in project transportation
- Systematic and organized way of workingWillingness to develop tools and systems
- Developmental mindset and way of working
- Good communication & collaboration skills
