Job Summary: Supply Chain Manager manages the flow of goods, resources and information required by the supply chain to ensure that critical processes run effectively and achieve organizational goals and performance KPIs. A Supply Chain Manager leads coordination activities with procurement, inventory control, distribution, transportation, and other functions to optimize the supply chain. Resolves bottlenecks or problem areas in the supply chain. Responsible for establishing and maintaining materials operations: 1) work with Warehouse Manager regarding inventory strategy; 2) overseeing vendor negotiations for the purchase of all materials, supplies, equipment, and services used by the company; and 3) supervising and training of purchasing employees.
Responsibilities:
- Creation and maintenance of a Company procurement program driven by the Purchasing Department for all PDC divisions
- Manage supplier performance including quality, delivery and total cost and drive corrective actions as required
- Identify areas of risk within supply chain; implement appropriate mitigation measures
- Provide regular performance feedback to suppliers and subcontractors and drive corrective actions as required
- Enforce terms and conditions of purchase orders and other agreements and compliance with legal requirements and company policy
- Analyze supplier spend reports to identify targeted improvements; leverages value for the company
- Responsible for controlling inventory flowing into the warehouse: reviewing inventory vendors to determine stock/non-stock status, oversee min/max’s and up-to’s of all stock merchandise to ensure proper quantity of material is readily available for sale or use, complete Inventory Audit Journal to ensure inventory accuracy with sales, proper coding of parts on sales orders, open non-filled picks and service order errors, conduct proper cycle count and accuracy issues dealing with inventory in the warehouse; Investigate issues and be proactive to ensure problems do not continue to rise
- Responsible for all purchasing activities; including negotiations with vendors, developing new supply sources, establishing account credit and terms
- Responsible for all PMCS (Primary/Maintenance/Check and Services) and safety requirements with fleet
- Ensure proper flow of paperwork, from printing, pulling and invoicing; Ensure procedures are followed
- Supervision of purchasing personnel, including performance reviews, discipline, hiring & terminating duties
- Performs other related duties as required
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply management, Procurement or equivalent.
- Minimum five (5) years Supply Chain Management, inventory control, warehouse or purchasing supervisory related experience or have demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the above-mentioned tasks.
- Minimum (2) years managing Buyers and Procurement Staff
- Ability to left 75 pounds occasionally
- Well organized, detail oriented with strong follow-up skills
- Hands-on, self-motivated, self-starter with a strong work ethic and interpersonal skills.
- Personal computer skills: Microsoft Office products (especially Excel & Word), as well as inventory control software
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Excellent math calculation skills

Preferred Qualifications:
- CPIM and/or CSCM professional certifications
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree
