Description

Position Summary and Primary Duties

This position coordinates with the Regional Managers regarding all aspects of Hope’s Closet Production and Donation Center. Responsibilities include overseeing retail merchandise, managing donation activities, and implementing loss prevention measures in the production room. This role requires conducting daily production operations, providing leadership to all staff, volunteers, and community service workers, and maintaining a clean, organized store and production area.

 

 

Essential Duties

The following are the duties and responsibilities associated with the position. Reasonable accommodation will be provided, as needed.

  • Responsible for maintaining production operation on a day-to-day basis, making sure staff meet daily quotas while providing positive encouragement.
  • Listening to concerns and providing positive feedback to staff, customers, and donors.
  • Promotes positive customer and donor care.
  • Make sure all policies and procedures are understood and followed by self and employees.
  • Knowledgeable in all workstations in the production area.
  • Assure pricing strategies are consistent and in line with pricing guidelines.
  • Reports on security and loss prevention concerns to the Regional Managers.
  • Responsible for cultivating best practices with the goal of consistent operations, including donor relations.
  • Works closely with production staff and provides one-on-one training.
  • Responsible for seasonal production and seasonal storage policies and procedures.
  • Works closely with the Sales Floor Manager and the Regional Managers to make sure the store meets monthly goals.
  • Responsible for a clean, safe, and well-maintained production room.
  • Occasionally cover open shifts and work outside of scheduled hours.
  • Able to open the store by counting the registers and making change orders along with daily paperwork.
  • Prepare and transport daily deposits and other bank transactions as needed.
  • Attend all required staff meetings and training opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned by Regional Managers.

 

Supervisory Duties

  • Oversee staff timekeeping, including scheduling, time submission for payroll, and time off requests.
  • Provide regular and ongoing encouraging and critical feedback necessary for staff team members to grow and develop.
  • Oversee and apply corrective action fairly.
  • Make clear and legible notes on staff corrections.
  • Report all concerns and issues to the Regional Managers.
  • Conduct timely performance reviews.

 

 

Qualifications


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • At least two years of customer service experience.
  • Prefer minimum of two years management/leadership experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new programs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

 

 

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions

  • Remain calm under stress and have the emotional and physical stamina to deal with a variety of stressful situations.
  • Frequently sit, stand, bend, kneel, and walk.

  • Occasionally climb stairs or inclined surfaces.
  • Occasionally work outside during night hours and/or inclement weather.
