JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Description of responsibilities and minimum qualifications:

  • Assist with planting, pruning, and harvesting of apple and peach trees

  • Conduct regular maintenance tasks to ensure optimal tree health

  • Participate in fruit assessment activities and sample preparation in the lab

  • Learn and apply lab techniques for analyzing soil and fruit samples

  • Contribute to ongoing research projects related to sustainable orchard practices

Requirements:

  • Interest in sustainability and tree fruit production

  • Driver's license and means to commute to the orchard at Rock Springs

  • Willingness to learn and work in a dynamic outdoor environment

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

  • Penn State undergraduate student in good standing

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES
