About the Department
Title: IT Support Spec
Position Type: Casual
Temporary/Permanent: Temporary, less than 40 hours/week
Pay Rate: Up to $30/hour, depending on experience
1) Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system.
2) Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability.
3) Provide desktop services for faculty and staff.
4) Maintain and upgrade classroom equipment (that includes computers and AV equipment).
5) Provide classroom support with the equipment for faculty, staff and other members who use the rooms.
6) May monitor and test Web site performance to ensure Web sites operate correctly and without interruption.
7) May update WordPress pages.
8) May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software.
9) May supervise computer user support specialists and computer network support specialists.
10) May administer network security measures.

Minimum Qualifications
Possession of a baccalaureate degree in Computer Science, Management information Systems, or related field and 1 year(s) of information technology experience
