Location: Glenside (soon relocating to Christie's Beach)


Role Type: Casual (with potential for part-time)


Shifts: Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 6:00pm

 About Me

Hi there! I’m a 62-year-old man living with a psychosocial disability and acquired brain injury. I’m passionate about chess, Jimi Hendrix, sports, cooking, and having deep, meaningful conversations.

 The Role

I’m seeking a self-reliant, compassionate, and emotionally intelligent Support Worker to join my team. You’ll be working within a 2:1 support model, helping me navigate daily life, build skills, and achieve my NDIS goals.

I value empathy, patience, and a calm presence. When I feel overwhelmed, I need someone who can hold space, respond with kindness, and support me through it.

 What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting me with daily living activities
  • Helping me access the community
  • Engaging in home-based activities
  • Encouraging my independence and personal growth
  • Implementing support plans and positive behaviour strategies
  • Keeping accurate records and working collaboratively with my team

 About You

You’re someone who:

  • Brings a calm, confident, and respectful approach
  • Has a great sense of humour and a team spirit
  • Understands complex behaviours and responds with compassion
  • Is flexible, adaptable, and committed to person-centred support
  • Wants to make a real difference in someone’s life

 Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening or DHS Disability Check
  • Current Driver’s Licence
  • First Aid & CPR
  • Safety Intervention Training
  • Cert III in Individual Support (or similar)
  • Experience with positive behaviour support and complex needs
