Job Summary: The Sr. Operations Project Manager reports to the VP of Operations and is responsible for supporting the Operations Department including but not limited to: Warehouses, Warehouse Moves, Efficiency in the Warehouses, profitability, and special Projects. The Sr Operations Project Manager will oversee and manage projects from initiation to completion, develop project plans, and implement effective strategies to achieve project goals. In addition, be able to fill in or assist with Regional Operations and developing leaders. An advanced knowledge of warehouse management and operations is critical.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the VP of Operations to define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
- Build and lead cross-functional project teams, providing guidance, motivation, and support throughout the project lifecycle.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among team members, stakeholders, and external vendors.
- Delegate tasks, set clear expectations, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion of project milestones.
- Oversee project activities, ensuring adherence to the project plan, schedule, and budget.
- Track project progress, identify potential bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Proactively identify potential project delays or challenges and take appropriate actions to mitigate their impact.
- Monitor and manage changes in project scope, ensuring alignment with project objectives and VP of Operations expectations.
- Communicate project status, risks, and key decisions to the VP of Operations in a clear and concise manner.
- Develop other team members in the department professionally.
- Assist in the overall management of the warehouse operations including developing policy, procedures, and plans.
- Strong ability to analyze location performance, make recommendations regarding operations and logistics to help the company meet and exceed our financial objectives, analyze complex information, communicate key takeaways, and engage and develop insightful management reports, KPIs, and metrics.
- Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and develop strategies for improving or further utilizing these processes in a proactive manner.
- Present findings and recommendations to appropriate management personnel. These may include cost reduction measures or ways to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Ensure Safety Standard Operating Procedures are updated and being followed throughout the regions.
- Perform other duties as appropriate and assigned.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Project Management, related field or equivalent experience
- Field experience in Operations, Supply Chain, and/or Logistics.
- 5+ years of project management & leadership experience.
