About the Department
Position Duties
Plans, develops, designs, and produces a wide variety of print materials for the assigned division(s), to include various flyers, brochures, advertisements, etc.; performs full range of production duties, which vary depending upon the nature and characteristics of the materials being produced; production duties may include planning material, defining concept and identifying target audiences, performing graphic design work, determining layout, writing and/or editing copy, selecting pictures, copying or coordinating printing, and distributing the final product. Oversees all social media and digital marketing efforts and enhancements to websites on behalf of Division or business unit; coordinates all e-marketing efforts and maintains distribution lists for marketing purposes. Writes and distributes press releases and news articles to the local media and to national publications; serves as liaison to the press, other media representatives, and coordinates social media marketing programs among all contracted vendors in marketing Collier County as a tourism destination through the use of all available digital marketing channels; tracks and coordinates monthly reporting of digital marketing analytics from contracted agencies; alerts supervisor of potentially sensitive issues and/or concerns. Participates in public relations campaigns and promotional work for assigned Division(s); markets Division programs to the community in order to obtain the community’s support, interest and participation; Utilizes multiple media, to include print, radio, television, web, outdoor, direct mail, etc. as appropriate. Assists in providing information to the public; assists with disseminating information during emergencies; organizes and coordinates special events/promotions as assigned; creates and chairs subcommittees as needed; plans and coordinates logistical items; markets and/or advertises events; and assists with setting up for community events. Research and purchase equipment as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree required. Two (2) years of related experience. Candidates without a degree should possess two (2) additional years of related experience. Fingerprinting required.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATES:Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License with any applicable endorsement(s) to drive a County vehicle as provided in CMA 5805.

- Essential Employees may be required to work during an undeclared or declared emergency. The County’s Administrative Office will determine who will be required to work on an incident-by-incident basis.
