SUMMARY
The Procurement Manager will deliver the Procurement strategy for the Colorado sites, ensuring alignment with Global Procurement, Program, and site operational strategies.
Manage a team of buyers and category managers to drive supplier excellence in terms of cost, delivery, supplier performance, and compliance with company policies. This role is also accountable to develop relationships with suppliers and work with stakeholders to ensure the organization meets site spending goals.
Work across multiple functions, including Operations, CapEx, HR, IT, Development, and Finance to improve the site’s key business measurements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead cross-functional teams on large-scale strategic projects affecting Corden Pharma Colorado Supply Chain to increase velocity and profitability
- Work independently to dig into data inconsistencies and inaccuracies, effectively driving to understand the root cause and effective remediation of variability in the data
- Increase visibility of Supply Chain strategic processes by managing project timelines, data dependencies, development, and operational efficiency improvements in coordination with other department dependencies and strategies
- Capable of autonomously organizing and getting results on a broad scope of work
- Executing predominantly site-oriented supply chain efforts within ambiguous processes while exemplifying good data practices and driving data-based decisions/strategy
- Identifying, evaluating, and selecting qualified suppliers for categories of spend within our CDMO site – including solvents, specialty chemicals, bulk goods, general and administrative, laboratory, and CapEx
- Developing and negotiating favorable contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable pricing, quality, and delivery terms
- Identifying and implementing strategies to reduce procurement costs while maintaining quality and compliance
- Ensuring all procurement activities comply with relevant regulations, industry standards (e.g., cGMP), and company policies
- Working closely with various internal departments like Quality Assurance, Operations, and Regulatory to align procurement with overall business needs
- Tracking supplier performance, conducting regular reviews, and implementing corrective actions as needed
- Ensuring data integrity across systems with adherence to corporate policy/standard operating procedures, monitoring the integrations amongst systems, and creating metrics/report of master data health
- Participating in the product life cycle management process (new product introduction, replacement, discontinuation, etc.)
- Actively seek and implement continuous improvement opportunities with the master data governance strategy, workflow process, procedures, and systems used to maintain master data
- Work in an agile environment and continuously review the business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks
- Partner with stakeholders and customers across the organization to inform the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization
- Translate product roadmap features into well-defined product requirements, including features, user stories, and acceptance test criteria
- Improve processes through analysis of business processes and developing strategies to support ongoing efficiency and scaling efforts
- Support end-users and managers, responding to system outages
LEADERSHIP & BUDGET RESPONSIBILITIES
Managing and mentoring a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support. Provides input and recommendations. Supports site objectives and plans.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university and 10years of progressive procurement and leadership roles. Experience in SAP as a system is a must; experience with S/4 HANA SAP is strongly preferred. Three years of experience within a CDMO, Pharma, or GMP Operations is a plus.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional
journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports,
business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present
information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers,
and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical
inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and
proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in
situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of
instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
