Human Resources Assistant
Onsite Greenwich, CT (06830) | Full-Time ( 35 Hrs)

At Family Centers, our employees are our greatest resource. We’re looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our HR team. In this role, you’ll play a key part in welcoming new staff, maintaining accurate employee records, and supporting compliance across both our community health centers and human service programs. The Role:
- Coordinate onboarding for new hires - from offer letters to orientations -ensuring every employee feels supported and welcomed.
- Maintain accurate electronic personnel files and HRIS data while safeguarding confidentiality.
- Track and monitor licenses, certifications, and trainings, helping us stay compliant.
- Support credentialing efforts and prepare reports for audits and funder requirements.
- Provide recruitment support by posting jobs, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Assist employees with benefits questions and HR policies.
- Perform accurate data entry and maintain the integrity of HR systems.
- Jump in on HR projects such as employee engagement activities, training, talent acquisition, and staff communications.
Requirements:
- Associate’s degree (HR, Business, Healthcare Administration, Human Services, or related or equivalent experience
- 1+ years of HR or relevant administrative experience
- Proven organizational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and HRIS system
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- A high level of integrity and discretion when working with confidential information.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Healthcare or nonprofit work experience
- Knowledge of credentialing requirements for medical, dental and behavioral health providers

- Bilingual
