Job Title: Shipping Administrator

Department: Shipping/Receiving Department 

Reports To: Shipping/Receiving Manager

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Location: Bethlehem, PA 

Overview:

The Shipping Administrator is responsible for the record management of all goods/products shipped to ensure accurate tracking of all outgoing goods and materials using an internal tracking system. Prepares small goods for shipment and maintains accurate records for tracking. Prints orders and bills of materials.


 Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Coordinate and process shipments, including paperwork to complete the shipment process, includes bills of lading, label, and order.  
  • Maintain shipping documentation, records, and files, ensuring accurate and compliant with regulations.
  • Provide customer support by addressing questions, sending shipment information internally, and reviewing and verifying status of shipments. 
  • Collaborate with production teams, including inventory control and procurement for the timely shipment of materials and goods. 
  • Communicate with carriers, and internal teams to ensure on-time deliveries. 
  • Address and resolve any shipping errors or delays. 
  • Move shipment items via forklift, electric jack pallet.
  • Champion a positive team environment and support company goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental government regulations by employees.
  • Support the receipt of good/materials by verifying quantity and quality of goods.
  • Maintain up-to date training materials, SOPs, and other related documentation 
  • Conduct other work as required.

 

 

 

 


 Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years’ experience in a shipping administrative role
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multi-tasking skills. 
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) 
  • Ability to move lift up to 50 pounds
  • Previous safety training a plus
